When I was around 11 years old, I was scrolling on tiktok when I came across a video. It was a clip of this twitch streamer titled "15 year old streamer throws rave after getting a kill in game" This was the first I've seen or heard of raves and lights. Something must've switched on In my brain that said "ooooooh flashy lights" because I couldn't stop watching videos of stage lighting after that. I remember only watching DJ sets because of the production. After almost a year of dreaming about owning my own light and binge watching Christian Jackson, I finally got my first light. A cheap Amazon strobe with 2 knobs on the back. One for strobe speed, and one for sound sensitivity. It wasn't much, but that paired with a 5 year old fog machine with some LED's on the front made me have a $30 EDC in my garage. Soon after, my birthday came around and I got a real light. A moving head spyder light with a 192 DMX controller. Lets go! I was finally making cues that I timed to music with. Everything was going great! Until I got distracted with Fortnite for like a year. Idek how it was that long but I got back on track after that. Around that time I discovered a local lighting and audio shop which I begged my parents to let me stay another 10 minutes there because of the 50+ $3000 lights hanging on a truss in the back. I was amazed about them but didn't understand the price tag. Somehow, again, I got bored of lighting for around a year but then that Christmas I got 2 120W moving heads, 4 90W Pars, and Chamsys MagicQ. This absolutely skyrocketed my lighting progression. I also got a 230W beam, but returned after because it came defective, and I also really didnt need that much power for my garage. After that, I received a really important package. Its pretty much the only reason you are reading this right now. I purchased a used 2W amazon laser that uses an app. This was huge for me because it showed me how much more interested I was in lasers than lighting. After that, I volunteered to do lighting for my middle school dance which went REALLY well. The teacher in charge of dances loved it so much. In fact as of 12/27/25 I am going back soon to do my first (legal) laser show. Once again, after the dance, i took ANOTHER 8 month break. In November I got the amazing opportunity from my guy Chris over at Nu-Salt Lasers to go up to the lighting booth at the kings game. This showed me how awesome my future potential was. So I started saving for..... you guessed it! A Ebike. I sold it a month later and immediately bought my first REAL big boy laser. The Unity RAW 1.7 and an FB3QS. This is also around the time I became friends with Jack, or better known as TheLaserKid. He showed me all the ropes and technical information about the laser industry. So Far, that's all that's happened. I will update this as I continue my career.
